Gambian Education Authority recommends that each student has their own text book to read from, for each subject.
We are constantly trying to build up our stock of text books, exercise books, pens, pecils and anything else a school uses on a day to day basis. As you can appreciate, this is a very expensive task with up to 150 students studying between 3 and 5 subjects each.
As an example, a text book costs approximately £4, so we try to buy a few at a time as and when we can.
This is an ongoing cost as these books obviously don't last forever and soon need replacing.
